Ritz Carlton Hotel, Dubai
One of the most distinctive hotels in Dubai, the Ritz Carlton does not attract guests by being the most overblown, or the most authentically Arabian, instead, this low rise Mediterranean style hotel attracts guests from all over the world with a promise of low key luxury, incredible levels of service, and attention to detail that is absolutely second to none. In fact, so attentive are the staff, that after youve ordered a drink once, the next time you even look at the barman, hell have the next one ready for you, mixed to perfection.
Unlike the larger hotels such as those at Madinat Jumeirah, or The Royal Mirage, Ritz Carlton trades on a feeling of exclusivity, of a quiet, relaxing place to stay. The experience of staying at the hotel can feel a little overawing at first, when entering the lobby, the first thing that you notice is the quiet and elegance that carries on throughout the rest of the building into the bedrooms, which are tasteful and surprisingly large. The general feel though is actually quite laid back, and you soon get used to the gentle pace of life in the lounge areas and the peace around the pool.

Hotel Rooms
All 138 spacious rooms at the Ritz Carlton have balconies that overlook the gardens, and face towards the sea. There are two main room types, deluxe and club. These are ostensibly the same, although the club rooms include access to a lounge where complimentary drinks and snacks are served throughout the day. Typical suites are the size of two rooms joined together, and offer plenty of extra space for families. A small number of adjoining rooms are available at the hotel, although these do need to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
Hotel Facilities
The Ritz Carlton boasts a good selection of restaurants, from relaxed to fine dining, and has two large pools outside - one for families, and the other for adults only. A fully furnished gym and health club is well supplemented by the famous Ritz Carlton Spa, one of the most highly regarded in Dubai, where you can be pampered until you are completely refreshed. During the cooler winter months, tennis courts are available for people who like to play tennis during their holidays.
