Experience a drive through the wadis of the Hajar Mountains on the excellent "Grand Canyons" tour
Leaving Dubai early in the morning, this tour will take you east through the desert towards the east coast, where the United Arab Emirates meets the Indian Ocean. The tour takes in a pottery market and the oasis town of Masafi - famous for its mineral water, and also the fishing village of Dibba.
The tour then leaves the road, and for the next two hours, you will see the stunning canyons and rugged landscape of the Hajar Mountains. There are small traditional villages throughout the mountains that will serve to remind you that the UAE is about more than just glittering hotels and modern cities. After a picnic lunch, the tour continues to Ras al Khaimah, where you can see many attractions, before heading back to your hotel in Dubai by late afternoon.
